Prior to giving any
treatments either in the therapy or educational setting,
Stone Oak Therapy Services & Learning Institute
performs a comprehensive assessment of your child's
skills. If you do not know for certain if your
child suffers from a therapeutic need or educational
delay, our team can evaluate
a specific area of concern or provide you with a complete multidisciplinary
assessment including developmental and educational performance.
For children 5 years old and younger, we suggest you use the links above as a self-determination guide. If you have any concerns or require any additional information about your findings, ask your pediatrician or feel free to contact one of our professionals at (210) 798-CARE (2273). For children over 5 years old and adolescents, your child's teacher is the best resource to gauge his or her performance as compared to other children in his or her age level. You personally should be able to compare your child to others as they interact with their peers in social settings (e.g., birthday parties), sports, and play. Whether it's for your peace of mind or to ensure their developmental growth is on track, the key to a successful treatment is recognizing a problem early.
