Warning Signs of Developmental Delays in a 2-3 Year Old

q       Frequent falling and difficulty with stairs.

q       Persistent drooling or very unclear speech.

q       Inability to build a tower of more than four blocks.

q       Difficulty manipulating small objects.

q       Inability to copy a circle by age three.

q       Inability to communicate in short phrases.

q       No involvement in “pretend” play.

q       Failure to understand simple instructions.

q       Little interest in other children.

q       Extreme difficulty separating from mother.
